Ralph Waldo Emerson: "An actually existent ant is more important than a possibly existent angel.

Yet another one of those cases where what some "freethinkers" are free of is thinking logically.  The only way this statement would be true is if the angel was actually non-existent, in which case any actually existent "          " would be more important than a non-existent "             ".  If the angel was actually existent, though, I would think that would be at least important as an ant.
